USI Network Schools

Learning Groups

The USI Network provides content-area-focused learning groups that bring together principals, teachers, and staff to delve into content, and exchange resources and tools. These small professional learning groups offer quarterly opportunities for participants to collaborate around strengthening their practice in their content areas. Our learning groups seek to build leadership capacity through providing school leaders, teachers, and other school staff access to resources and ideas that will enhance learning in their schools. Learning group leaders provide feedback to participant through site visits organized around the groups work. USI Network Learning Groups include: Abdullaim A. Shabazz Mathematics Learning Group, Academic and Social Supports Learning Group, Coaching Learning Group, College Counselors Collaborative (CCC), the Deans Learning Group, English-Language Arts Learning Group, Exceptional Needs Learning Group, and the John Hope Franklin History Learning Group.
