Theory of Change

How does a new school achieve high levels of student learning and achievement, in every classroom?

Our work seeks to answer that question. Our Theory of Change identifies the factors that we believe are essential:

  • Autonomy and flexibility over time, resources, and people
  • Membership in an affinity community organized around shared professional learning
  • Access to targeted, school-specific teaching and learning supports
  • Ongoing strengthening of specific school practices and conditions that organize adults around student learning and strategic interventions that increase the quality of instruction
