We believe that every child, regardless of race, ethnicity, or economic status, has the right to a high-quality education that prepares them, whether they are in elementary, middle, or high school, for success in college and work.
Our Mission:
To help Network schools produce high levels of achievement for all of their students by a) creating professional learning communities within and across schools that support and deepen professional expertise and efficacy; b) providing targeted, sharply focused supports that build and sustain high-level capacity in instructional leadership, teaching, and learning; and c) identifying and facilitating opportunities for schools to learn from each other’s challenges and successes in enabling high-quality student learning.
Our Vision:
USI Network schools, as they implement unique designs and innovations in schooling, demonstrate that every child in Chicago can learn at high levels regardless of their race, ethnicity or socio-economic background and contribute to our knowledge of what it takes to produce high-level teaching and student learning at scale within an individual school, and across a group of schools that shares a core set of values and beliefs.
